Our Team
Dr Jaclyn Montefiore – GP and Practice Owner
Dr Montefiore is a General Practitioner and the Practice Owner of Sante Medical. Her main area of professional interest is using Therapeutic Carbohydrate Restriction with her patients to help with weight loss, diabetes control and other medical conditions. Using her background as a Dietitian, she combines medical therapies with Nutrition prescription to help patients achieve their health goals. She is a Scope-certified Obesity Medicine practitioner and is obsessed with understanding the complex physiology of metabolic health and hormonal control of body weight to personalise treatment plans for her patients.
Her other main area of interest is Skin and Skin Cancer Medicine. She has undertaken extra training in skin cancer diagnosis and treatment and offers skin cancer checks and treatments for skin cancers and cosmetic skin concerns such as acne, age spots, seb k’s and anti-wrinkle injections.
Her spare time is spent with her husband, 3 young girls and elderly Labrador. She enjoys sneaking off for a solo jog from time to time which is her ‘me’ time.
Dr Amelia Stephens
Dr Amelia Stephens is a GP with special interest in Women’s Health and Integrative Medicine. Amelia has been working as a GP since 2014 and has been a specialist GP Fellow of theRoyal Australian College of General Practitioners since 2016. She gained her university qualifications through the University of QLD and subsequently worked there in a teaching academic role during her training.
Dr Amelia is passionate about all areas of ongoing learning and is currently undertaking another Fellowship qualification with the Australian College of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine to further her current Integrative Medicine knowledge and experience.
When not at work or studying, Amelia loves spending time with her young family and cooking/enjoying delicious food.
Dr Rebecca Ostrenski
Rebecca graduated with Honours from Griffith University, Queensland, in 2009. She spent the next several years rotating through all specialties at Logan Hospital, QLD, with a particular focus on Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and General Medicine.
Rebecca is passionate about Women’s and Children’s Health, Adolescent health, Mental Health and General Medicine, emphasizing preventative measures and general health promotion. She has a Diploma of Child Health from Westmead Hospital, Sydney. She was awarded Fellowship of RACGP in 2016 and has found a love of caring for families of all shapes and sizes in North West Brisbane.
In her home time she is a parent to 3 busy kids (4 year old twins and a Tween), a terrible but devoted new piano player, and loves to squeeze a mix of exercise in around all the demands of being a working parent. She also has terrible taste in television and will happily watch old reruns driving her partner mad.
Dr Kylie McMahon
SKIN CANCER AND COSMETIC GP
Dr Kylie McMahon graduated from Bond University in 2014 with an interest in skin cancer medicine and dermatology. She worked as a junior doctor at several Brisbane hospitals including the Princess Alexandra and Greenslopes Private Hospital. During this time she was actively involved in skin cancer management.
Since qualifying as a GP in 2021 she has specialised in skin checks, skin excisions and general dermatology as well as procedures for the removal of benign skin lesions. She also regularly performs anti-wrinkle injections for her clients. Dr McMahon is passionate about keeping up to date with skin care and skin cancer management and has extensive experience in dermoscopy.
When not working she enjoys spending time with her husband and two young sons as well as travelling or getting out for a run or a pilates session.
Melanie Walters, APD
Melanie Walters is an Accredited Practising Dietitian who is passionate about food and cooking.
She became a dietitian to combine her love of food and desire to help others. Melanie enjoys helping people optimise their health and wellbeing by improving their lifestyle. She provides patients with evidence-based nutrition strategies to help them meet their goals through practical dietary recommendations and sustainable health and lifestyle changes. She has a strong interest in therapeutic carbohydrate restriction (low carb) but understands there is no one diet fits all approach.
She finds low-carb eating easy to adapt to her busy lifestyle, including plenty of eating out and was able to reduce and maintain her weight without feeling restricted. After finding personal success, she has seen similar success with many patients for weight loss and many other chronic conditions. In her spare time, she is busy looking after her two young daughters, collecting recipe books and adapting recipes to reduce carbohydrates (including some delicious desserts!)
Isabel Oliver, Practice Nurse
Isabel is a registered nurse with 3 years of experience as an RN. Before this, her medical career began in 2017 as a medical receptionist, which inspired her to study nursing at the University of The Sunshine Coast, graduating in 2020. She has experience in general practice, integrative health, and occupational health in different locations; from idyllic Noosa Heads to the busy Brisbane CBD. She enjoys the responsibilities of a nurse, and strives for integrity and advocacy of patients.
Isabel works confidently and seamlessly alongside the Doctors at Sante Medical and Paddington Skin to ensure the best quality of care is provided to you and your family.
Isabel is passionate about health and fitness. On the weekends you’ll find her at Pilates, discovering new foods, spending her time outdoors or on the beach. She also enjoys reading a good book or listening to her record collection
Jessica – Administration team
Jessica joins the team with over 5 years of experience in holistic health and wellness administration. Jessica has a passion for organisation and enjoys making patients feel calm and informed. Anyone who knows her would say she has a strong devotion to her indoor plants and home styling. At weekends you will find Jessica out and about adventuring with her young family.
Hannah – Administration team
Hannah is currently studying social work and her passion for helping others makes her perfect for our medical receptionist role. She comes with many years of customer service experience and loves chatting with people. When she’s not working or studying, you can usually find her spending time with friends, trying out new bars and restaurants, and going for long podcast-fueled walks.
Natsu – Administration team
Natsu is originally from Japan and is currently studying Environmental Health. She enjoys attending to the needs of patients. In her free time she enjoys surfing, cooking, watching AFL and travelling with her husband.
